About Richmond Ave Dental

Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are Open 24 hours. Staten Island is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Staten Island is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Dr. Sanders is the best. The dental hygienist there is also very sweet. Highly recommended. Excellent patient care skills.

Terrible clinic. The doctors are always in a rush and handle their tools carelessly. They even injured my lip. It was the first time I ever felt afraid at a dental office. They placed a filling incorrectly, which caused pain and made it difficult for me to eat. I went back to have it fixed, but they insisted that this tooth could not be causing the pain. They put in another filling, but the edges were not smoothed out, leaving a sharp surface on the tooth. I continued to suffer from pain and could not chew on my left side. I eventually decided to visit another dental clinic, where they told me the filling had been placed incorrectly and had not been properly adjusted or polished. They fixed everything, and the pain disappeared immediately. My husband also had dental work done at this clinic, and he has had a very bad experience as well. He will be leaving his own review.

From my original review, I initially thought this dental office was great after my first appointment, but unfortunately my experience turned into a nightmare. At one appointment, I arrived approximately five minutes late due to difficulty finding parking. The office manager approached me in a very rude and unprofessional manner and stated that the hygienist would not see me and that I needed to reschedule. I understand policies, however the way I was treated was extremely dismissive and disrespectful. When I was eventually seen, I was very dissatisfied with the dental cleaning. The cleaning felt rushed, including the scaling and brushing, and I left feeling as though plaque had not been properly removed. I generally have very healthy teeth and take good care of my oral hygiene, yet the quality of the cleaning did not meet reasonable expectations. After x-rays, the dentist advised that a cavity could not be filled and instead recommended a root canal. Having prior experience working in dental, I understand what root canal treatment involves. I informed the provider that I wanted time to think about this decision and did not agree to proceed at that time. To my surprise, a few da

If I could give 0 stars I would; this is the absolutely one of the worst dentist facilities in nyc. I had a women drill into my tooth claiming I needed a root canal. They then neglect seeing me for almost a month while I’m dying in pain so I had to go to another awesome dentist. The new dentist examined me and tells me that I didn’t need the root canal at all and she left part of the nerve exposed.. that was the source of the pain and she (dentist at Richmond) also told me I had other cavities when the other dentist confirmed there was not one single cavity. These people will hurt you for profit avoid them at all costs

Very unhappy with this dentist dr naz i suffered with pain since my second visit as of September start date. Still in pain as of today! I went to have a cap put on, turned into an infection drilled to close to gum and wind up getting a root canal which I suffered extreme pain even after the root was done I had plenty of root canals and never one as horrific as this. I will never go back there even though I’m in pain still. They take forever to call you back it’s not even worth explaining the rest my opinion stay away!
